RARE Original Edition - Bought brand new in the late 1990's, comes with original box, power supply and unit in very good shape considering its age. An absolute favorite of Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead, he still has said this is one of his favorite tape delay emulations ever made! Due to it's early DAC convertor you would be hard pressed to not call it 12 bit, lo-fi and sonically enriching to virtually any sound source. Used this considerably on so many projects, sure she will bring you as much creative energy as she has me, sadly have to downsize for a variety of reasons.

The Headrush can record a single loop up to 23.8 seconds long or an overdubbed loop up to 11.9 seconds. The interface is nice and simple for creating the length of the loop on the fly. There are two foot switches. The left switch activates the function and the right switch is used to determine the length of the loop. If you want to overdub a loop, click the left switch to activate the looping function and start playing. Then click the right button once to start recording. Clicking the right button a second time will close the loop. Click the right button a third time will allow you to record infinite layers on the original loop. To play over the overdubbed loop without recording, click the left button. To erase overdub loops, click the right button again to erase all but the original loop. If the original loop goes over 11.9 seconds, then you are committed to only one loop; you will not be able to overdub. An LED light above the right pedal will begin to flash a few seconds before you reach 11.9 seconds, notifying you to either close the loop or live with the consequences. The LED light will flash again a few seconds before reaching 23.8 seconds, letting you know that the loop will automatically repeat. One drawback is that you can't tell the exact length of the loop. I find it helpful to know exact lengths for syncing drum tracks and such. However, I can determine with ease the length of a loop by feel, which is nice.

Normal Echo:

The maximum tap tempo delay time is 23.8. Again, the left switch activates the function and the right switch is used to determine delay time. Click once then click a second time. The time between clicks is your delay time. There are course and fine Time dials to manually manipulate delay time. The sound quality is pretty good. The sampling rate and resolution are the same for all three functions: sampling rate = 44.1 kHZ; resolution = 16 bit.

Tape Echo:

This is the coolest function of the three. The Tape Echo function is designed to simulate a 4 head analog tape delay. Each head has its own output so that you can send multiple signals from the Headrush to multiple amps or mixer channels. I plugged all 4 into my 8 track recorder and was impressed. There is a Head-Gap dial where you can sync up the delay times of the heads or stagger them. When they are staggered and you use the individual head outputs, you get some cool quadraphonic echo. Maximum delay time in the Tape Echo mode is only 5.9 seconds which kind of sucks but I'm not complaining. Activation and setting of delay time is performed in the same manner as in the Normal Delay mode. There is a HF Damp function that allows you to dampen the frequency of the delay feedback. This is supposedly designed to replicate the lo-fi qualities of the old analog tape delays. It may be a useful tool but the sound quality is too good to be mistaken for old tape heads.

There is a three stage switch to change the modes. There is also a mono output for the non-Tape Delay modes and for consolidation of all the tape head signals. The pedal is quiet enough for me to run direct to my 8 track recorder. All in all, a cool tool.

Bought this Brand New at Guitar Center ($799.00) back in 2001. It's been used on a few records over the past 25 years, namely on The Coldest Season (Sunset/Empyrean), I spent quite a few years tweeking it and developing custom sounds with the software, it truly has some beautiful sound design functionality. Sadly, our space is much smaller than it used to be and this baby needs a new home. She's been well maintained and serviced back in 2018. I will more than happily reset it back to factory settings BUT I think the lucky owner will adore the new sounds we've programmed into it. :) Comes in original box, power adapter and manual (the price and tag are still on the box from Guitar Center), I think she has a lot of life and sounds to share!

SPECS:

Polyphony - 5 voices (synth); 32 voices (AWM2) Oscillators - Analog Modeling - Tone Generator: 2 VCO (sawtooth, variable pulse, mix, multi-saw, OSC Sync, FM); White Noise; Sub Synthesizer: AWM2 (120 Drum and Rhythm Sounds) LFO - 1 LFO modulates Pitch or Filter with up to 21 waveforms (5 sine, 5 triangle, 3 square, 4 saw, 4 sample-and-hold) Filter - FEG - Resonant multimode filter for synth (12-, 18-, 24dB/oct lowpass, 12dB/oct highpass, bandpass, band-reject), 1 resonant lowpass filter for each AWM2. VCA - AEG - 2 ADSR amp envelopes; PEG - 1 AD pitch envelope Keyboard - 16 rubber pads (not velocity sensitive) Effects - 13 types (delay, flanger, phaser, overdrive/amp simulator, distortion, EQ), Ring Mod, Portamento Sequencer - 16 steps x 4 parts per pattern; 1 track for Synth, 3 tracks for AWM2 drum sounds; 10 songs capacity Memory - 256 Preset Patterns, 128 User Patterns; 10 Songs; 2 Scene Memories per Pattern Control - MIDI IN/OUT(Int/Ext Clock) Date Produced - 2001

The AN200 is a compact table-top physical modeling analog synthesizer and sequencer. The AN200 has sounds like the AN1x keyboard. The sounds are pretty phat, from punchy analog bass to squelchy distorted 303-lines. It models two analog VCO oscillators with sawtooth, variable pulse, mix, multi-saw, OSC Sync, FM, resonant multimode filters and 5 voices of polyphony. To accompany this beastly little synth engine is a 32-voice AWM2 section with about 120 drum and rhythm sounds for creating complete dance grooves, patterns and songs!

The AN200 features a 16 step pattern sequencer with one track for FM sounds and three tracks for AWM2 rhythm sounds. It's simple to use and is suited for hands-on and easy pattern making. Create your patterns in step-mode, in real-time, or record it using an external MIDI keyboard. The sequencer is Analog-Style, each step of a pattern can be tweaked by the turn of a knob, affecting the pitch, gate time or velocity of any synth or drum note. Parts can be dropped out and brought back in on the fly, along with any tweaks and pattern changes for interactive live performances! The "Swing" function can funk up the groove of your patterns for better or worse. There's also Tap Tempo for DJs to match up to their beats! Editing sounds is also fairly easy and hands-on. There are 15 quick access knobs for various common tweakable parameters like the LFO, amp envelopes, filters, effects section and osc. sections. That's way more knobs than the competition (Korg ElecTribe/M and Roland MC-series)! Further in-depth editing can be achieved with the bundled software editor for Mac/PC.

Yamaha's "Scene Memory" function is also on-board, providing two "Scene" memory snapshots and real-time morphing between scene memories. All knob tweaks can also be recorded into your patterns via the Free EG for motion and evolving effects. There are quality on-board multi-effects (delay, flanger, phaser, overdrive/amp simulator, distortion, EQ) to sweeten your tracks! The DX-200 is just like the AN200 except that it is based around FM synthesis, reviving the sound of Yamaha's classic DX synthesizers. Like the DX-200, the AN200 makes an excellent groove machine. It's suited perfectly for use by DJs, live on stage, and in the studio as a sound module or as a groovin' analog loop factory for professional and beginning electronic musicians alike!

FREE SHIPPING IN THE CONTINENTAL USA! (UPS OR USPS) BOUGHT THIS BRAND NEW IN 1999, USED GENTLY IN A SMOKE FREE STUDIO AND SERVICED IN DETROIT IN 2018. USED ON COUNTLESS RECORDINGS AND QUITE HONESTLY A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO ANY STUDIO OR DJ ENVIRONMENT.

The Filter Factory is a stand-alone 2-unit rack module stereo/mono analog filter. Use it to filter drum loops, synth arpeggiations, vocal tracks or entire mixes! It features notch, low-, high- and band-pass filtering modes. It functions as a stereo filter with a 2-pole slope, or in mono with a 4-pole slope. Big fat knobs allow hands on real-time tweaking of the Frequency Cutoff, Resonance, LFO Depth and Speed, Distortion and more. Plus it's totally MIDI equipped for recording, triggering and sequencing tweaks of the various parameters.

The Filter Factory is great for DJ's and for Musicians. It sounds great and IS analog with digital control, stability and features. 'Momentary' buttons allow you to drop in or tap in an effect, either the filter or the distortion which is great for live situations! The LFO section allows you to generate nice sweeping filter effects or other weird modulations. There's a Tap-Tempo to match the LFO to the stuff your filtering too. Truly worth getting! It has been used by U2, John Digweed, Freddy Fresh, La Peste, Peace Off, Hellfish & DJ Producer, DJ Pure, and the Chemical Brothers.
